Development Regions Of Nepal

Developing Regions
        Nepal is divided into fourteen zones and seventy-five districts. A zone contains minimum four to maximum seven
 districts. Such divisions are made to make administrative functions easier. Among them ten zones are named according
 to the name of rivers, two by name of mountains & remaining two by the name of religious place.
        In the same way combining zones five development regions are made in Nepal. They are named as Eastern development
 region, Central development region, Western development region, Mid-Western development region, Far Western development
 region. Main motto of dividing in such development regions is to reduce the unequal
 development of nation from Mechi in east to Mahakali in west by helping &comprising with the people of development regions.
        Every development regions contains one administrative office at headquarters of each development regions to make
 the administrative works of people faster, easier& more convinient. This office cares and control the whole administrative
 functions of development region. Developing regions are further sub-divided into many zones, districts, village development
 regions(VDC), municipalities etc.
